STATEMENT


My series examines the love stumbling blocks of thirtysomething women.&#38;nbsp;
My focus is on women in their thirties specifically, who might look like to live the time of their lives in the eyes of others, but actually are terribly lonely. It is important to emphasize that I am not dealing now with those who voluntarily chose the single lifestyle. I am only interested in the group of women, to which I also belong to, who feel a little lost and do not know how they got here. Those, who struggle not only with external expectations but also with their own internal pressures, but try to get out. They work hard to somehow find a loving partner eventually, so they can move on to the next phase of their lives. Those who have to deal with the “benevolent” neighbors, parents, married, same aged friends. And in the crossfire of comments and questions, they try to explain themselves shyly or while smiling, or sometimes reacting more vigorously.

This is a more and more serious social problem within those university graduate women who just started spreading their wings, working hard, getting out of multiple global crises. I am interested in understanding the thoughts, feelings, desires and fears of this cohort that I would illustrate with a phototherapy method I have experimented with.


I was interested in what kind of mental processes, feelings, desires, and fears these women express. How well they can accept their feelings, what struggles they go through, do they dare or want to ask for help? What role do the issues of self-knowledge and self-love play in a relationship?I was curious about how the role of letting go vs. clinging affects our dating habits, when do we start to become our own enemies in this process? What do we love about suffering? Why do we choose the same character over and over again, with whom the relationship is doomed from the very first moment, but the familiar situation provides apparent security? How long do we run the same circles until we realize that we have been going in circles all along…? And once we have the realization, are we willing to change, or even more so, can we and dare to change?
I am attempting to solve this very diverse problem which points to one direction, while creating a sisterhood, including myself, based on the same experiences.


The series offers answers in a lyrical - yet at the same time symbolic - formulation, or perhaps raises even more questions, unsettling the viewer and leaving them with further doubts. For me, one important conclusion is that the difficulties of finding a partner can be interpreted not as a deficiency, but as a signal - feedback about where the individual stands in relation to themselves. During the creation of the images, while also examining the dynamic of letting go versus holding on, it became clear that a compulsive clinging to the problems of the past narrows possibilities and traps us in recurring patterns, whereas letting go opens space for new forms of connection - not only with others, but with ourselves as well. This recognition resonates beautifully with the statement: “Answers close; questions open.”


The kind of vulnerability I sought to reveal during the photo sessions serves as a reminder that intimacy does not begin with finding the other person, but with honestly examining our own patterns of functioning. That the solution does not move from the outside inward, but rather from the inside outward. That awareness does not protect us from loss or experiences of failure; instead, it enables us not to relive the same pain over and over again. By creating a kind of short circuit, we can interrupt the pattern and make new choices. And here we arrive at the most difficult task: even with all these realizations in our possession, do we have the strength and courage to change? Change truly begins where we are willing to relinquish the illusion of control and accept that a new way of functioning initially fills us with uncertainty and carries the risk of vulnerability.

Sorozatom, a harmincegynéhány éves nők szerelmi
botladozásait vizsgálja. Kifejezetten
azokra a nőkre koncentráltam, akik mások szemében, a látszólag felhőtlen szinglik
életét élik, de valójában csak rettentően magányosak. Fontos kiemelnem, hogy
nem kívánok azokkal foglalkozni most, akik önszántukból választották a szingli
életformát, kizárólag az a csoport érdekel, akikhez én is tartozom, és kicsit
elveszve, maguk sem tudják hogyan, de így alakult az életük. Akik nem csak a
külső elvárásokkal, de saját belső nyomásukkal is küzdenek, és próbálkoznak.
Keményen tesznek azért, hogy valahogy, mégis egy szerető társra leljenek, hogy
továbbléphessenek az életük egy következő fázisára. Akiknek nap mint nap meg
kell küzdeniük a “jóakaró” szomszéddal, szülőkkel, már házas kortársaikkal. A
kommentek és kérdések kereszttüzében mosolyogva, szemlesütve, magyarázkodva,
olykor erélyesebb fellépéssel kikérve maguknak a témafelvetést is. 
Ez az egyre súlyosabb társadalmi probléma a szárnyaikat bontogató, egyetemet
végzett, dolgozó nők egy igen sajátos, világválságot megjárt, kapunyitási
pánikkal megfűszerezett rétegnek a gondolataira, érzéseire, vágyaira,
félelmeire rácsatlakozó vizsgálódás, melyet az általam kikísérletezett,
fotóterápiás módszerrel mutatok be. &#38;nbsp;


Az érdekelt, hogy milyen lelki folyamatok, érzések, vágyak,
félelmek fogalmazódnak meg ezekben a nőkben. Hogy mennyire tudják felvállalni
az érzéseiket, milyen vívódásokon mennek keresztül, mernek-e, akarnak-e
segítséget kérni? Milyen szerepe van az önismeret és az önszeretet kérdésének
egy párkapcsolatban? 


Kíváncsi voltam, hogy az elengedés vs. ragaszkodás szerepe
milyen hatással van a párkeresési szokásainkra, mikor kezdünk el a saját magunk
ellenségévé válni ebben a folyamatban? Mit imádunk abban, hogy szenvedünk?
Miért választjuk újra és újra ugyanazt a karaktert, akivel már az első
pillanattól kezdve halálra van ítélve a kapcsolat, de az ismerős szituáció,
látszólagos biztonságot nyújt? Meddig futjuk le ugyanazokat a köröket, míg
rádöbbenünk, hogy végig körbe-körbe jártunk…? És ha megvan a felismerés, vajon
hajlandóak vagyunk-e változtatni, vagy még inkább, tudunk és merünk-e
változtatni? Így, a saját tapasztalataimmal együtt, egy
közösséget alkotva, egy diverse ugyan, de egy irányba mutató probléma, terápiás
jellegű megoldására teszek kísérletet.


A sorozat, lírai- egyben szimbolikus megfogalmazásban kínál
válaszokat, esetleg vet fel még több kérdést, bizonytalanít el és hagy akár még
több kétség között. Az egyik fontos konklúzió számomra mégis az, hogy a párkeresés
nehézségei nem hiányként, hanem jelzésként értelmezhetőek, azaz visszajelzést
ad arra, hogy hol tart az egyén önmagával kapcsolatban. A képek készítése
során, az elengedés vs. ragaszkodás dinamikáját is vizsgálva, a görcsös
kapaszkodás a múlt problémáihoz, beszűkíti a lehetőségeket és az ismétlődő
mintákba zár, míg az elengedés teret nyit az újfajta kapcsolódásra, nemcsak
másokkal, hanem önmagunkkal is. Ez a felismerés, nagyon szépen összecseng azzal
az állítással is, miszerint: “A válaszok bezárnak, a kérdések megnyitnak.”


Az a fajta sebezhetőség, amit a fotózások során igyekeztem
megmutatni, arra emlékeztet, hogy az intimitás nem a másik fél megtalálásával
kezdődik, hanem azzal, hogy őszintén ránézünk a saját működésünkre. Hogy a
megoldás nem kívülről befelé, hanem belülről kifelé haladva fogja megmutatni
magát. Hogy a tudatosság nem megóv a veszteségektől és a kudarcélményektől,
hanem képessé tesz arra, hogy ne ugyanazt a fájdalmat éljük át újra és újra,
így rövidzárlatot okozva, megszakítsuk a mintát, és új választásokat tudjunk
hozni. És itt érkezünk meg a legnehezebb feladathoz, mindezen felismerésekkel a
birtokunkban, vajon megvan-e az erőnk és bátorságunk is arra, hogy
változtassunk? A változás valójában ott kezdődik, ahol a kontroll illuzióját hajlandóak
vagyunk feladni és elfogadjuk, hogy az újfajta működés elinte bizonytalansággal
tölt el és a sebezhetőség veszélyével fenyeget.

STATEMENT


Story of my exile in the luxurious prison called Wanderlust. Island effect, which means the illusion of freedom within sharp limits. Creating real fictions and fictional realities. Demonstrating fears and desires. Eternal dissatisfaction, pressure to perform, the joy of discovery, the passage of time, the feeling of missing out something, and the chasing experiences.This island effect, with its illusion of glamour and independency, actually creates a new reality, a new world of itself. The expanded space, stretching bounduries are narrowing again, and form a sheltered universe. Different worlds, which are so far away from each other geographically, create a new reality that is more exciting than the known. Because of such experiances, it will be "impossible" to get out of this luxury prison, and it causes an irreversible addiction.So the goal is: the private unknown.
In this series, I was useing a phototherapy method, which helps me understanding these thoughts which describe, bring closer and interpret the causes of today's modern "disease" or more like behaviour while attempting to create a visual answer key.&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp;

Száműzetésem története a „Vándorvágy” nevű luxus börtönben. Sziget effektus, azaz a szabadság illúziója éles határokon belül. Valóságos fikciók, fikciós valóságok teremtése. Félelmek és vágyak megmérettetése. Az örök elégedetlenség, a teljesítménykényszer, a felfedezés öröme, az idő múlása, a lemaradni, kimaradni valamiből érzése, élményhajhászás.

Hogy az a fajta sziget effektus, mely csupán a szabadság illúzióját kelti, igazából egy új világot teremt önmagából. A kitágult tér, a széthúzó határok újra összeszűkülnek, és egy menedéket rejtő saját univerzumot alkotnak. Földrajzilag óriási távolságban lévő világok, egy új valóságként egyesülnek, mely sokkal izgalmasabb, mint amit ismerünk. És pont az ilyen élmények hatására lesz „lehetetlen” kiszabadulni ebből a luxus börtönből. Ez egy olyan körhinta, amiről talán csak a fizikai korlátok miatt kell leszállni olykor, de menthetetlen addikciót okoz.

Tehát a cél: a privát ismeretlen.

Sorozatomban, egy olyan fotóterápiás módszerrel igyekszem válaszokat találni a felvetett gondolatmenetre, mely segít bemutatni, közelebb kerülni és megérteni ennek a mai, modern „kórnak”, vagy inkább viselkedésformának az okait, miértjeit; továbbá kísérletet tesz egy vizuális megoldókulcs létrehozására.
A projekt, az NKA fotóművészeti ösztöndíj támogatásával tudott létrejönni.

STATEMENT

“Am I sorry? Or should I be sorry? I don’t know. I don’t believe so. I don’t know what I believe. I don’t know what to believe. I hate you. Because you’ve hurt me. Very much. And it hurts. My soul hurts. Again. Everything is in vain. Though I did everything right this time. Or probably I didn’t. Although I believed so. Whatever. That’s how it goes. One more slap in the face. From you? From life? I am disappointed. I am so disappointed in you. In all of you. I am tired of this. I don’t want to feel the pain. Again. The soul is so fragile. You are responsible for it, once you’ve tamed it. I’m sorry you’ve forgotten this. Maybe, you never even knew it. This is my fault. I have misjudged you. Again.”

This series is a photo therapy project. The pictures, just like the accompanying confession, are kind of a conversation with my ex(es), with all the men in my life. They are also like a conversation with myself. It is a synthesis: the “letter” you’ve never sent, or the words you weren’t able to say out loud when you were should have done so. It is a closure. At the same time, it is also an open door to my feelings, to my thoughts regarding my past relationships.

Most mindent jól csináltam pedig. De mégsem. Bár azt hittem. Már mindegy. Ilyen ez. Még egy pofon. Tőled? Az élettől? Csalódtam. Akkorát csalódtam benned. Bennetek. Már unom. Nem akarom, hogy fájjon. Megint. A lélek olyan törékeny. Felelősséggel tartozol érte, ha megszelídítetted. Kár, hogy ezt elfelejtetted. Talán sose tudtad. Ez az én hibám. Félreismertelek. Megint.”

Ez a sorozat egy terápiás fotóprojekt. A képeken keresztül, a szöveges vallomáshoz hasonló módon, egyfajta párbeszédet folytatok a volt partnere(i)mmel, az életemben szerepet játszó összes férfival. Egy kicsit saját magammal is. Ugyanakkor összegzés is ez: az a bizonyos levél, amit az ember soha nem küldött el, a szavak, amelyeket nem tudtunk kimondani, amikor kellett volna. Egyfajta lezárás. Mindeközben nyitott könyvként jelennek meg benne a korábbi kapcsolataimra vonatkozó érzéseim és gondolataim.

Independent, powerful, smart
women from all around the world. Travelers. Inspiring, open-minded, great
souls, with the curiosity of the world, who prove they are brave enough to make
their dreams come true. Who leave behind everything, steps over their own
borders, get out of their comfort zones, to reach their aim they were born to
have. To explore, to experience, to believe, to live. Live a life what they
choose to have, without expectations of anybody but themselves, without being
under pressure in a men run world, without giving up themselves because of
forced compliance from the society. Even if this route is not the easiest one,
sometimes lonely with full of thoughts, big questions, hard decisions,
resignations; but some other times with full of joy, lifetime experiances,
great people, new friends from all over the planet. We have never met each
other before, only Iceland gathered us together. There are no coincidences, I
don’t believe in them. We all met on purpose, we have something in common; we
are looking for ourselves…

széles látókörű, nagyszerű emberek, akik kíváncsiak a világra. Akik
bebizonyítják, hogy elég bátrak ahhoz, hogy megvalósítsák az álmaikat. Akik,
mindent hátrahagyva lépnek át a saját határaikon, hagyják el komfortzónájukat,
hogy elérjék a célt, amire születtek. Felfedezni, megtapasztalni, hinni, élni.
Hogy azt az életet élhessék, amit ők választottak maguknak, mindenféle
elvárásoktól mentesen, egy férfiak uralta világban rájuk helyezett nyomások
nélkül. Anélkül, hogy feladnák magukat a társadalmi nyomások hatására. Még
akkor is, ha ez nem egy egyszerű út. Olykor magányos, tele mélyenszántó
gondolattal, kérdőjelekkel, lemondásokkal. Viszont, máskor örömteli, életre
szóló tapasztalatokkal, nagyszerű emberekkel, új barátokkal fűszerezve. Sosem
találkoztunk ezelőtt, egyedül Izlandnak köszönhetjük, hogy útjaink
összefonódtak. Nincsenek véletlenek, nem hiszek bennük. Mi mind okkal
találkoztunk, van bennünk valami közös; próbáljuk megtalálni önmagunkat…


Megosztani, odafigyelni, megérteni, törődni, kapcsolódni. Én már csak
elmondhatom, ezek a lányok a világ mozgatórugói! Nagyon hálás vagyok, hogy

	STATEMENT

You can choose your friends, but you can't choose your family. Family is the most important human relationship. It defines our personality and our personal development. Apart from our parents, siblings have the most important role in the formation of our identity.


In my project I’m exploring the sibling relationships. I try to understand the various types of ties: from the healthy bonds to the unusual relationships. I’m interested in the different roles in a power struggle between siblings – how they act and interact with each other. I want to see the individuals in the common stories.In the book Sibling Bonds, Stephen Bank and Michael Kahn identified eight different sibling relationships. I observed the subjects of my portraits based on these categories.


	LEÍRÁSA barátait megválaszthatja az ember, a családját nem. A család mégis életünk egyik legfontosabb
emberi kapcsolata. Ez az, ami a kezdetektől meghatározza személyiségünket, és annak
fejlődését. A szülőkön kívül a testvérek szerepe is igen jelentős identitásunk kialakulásában.


Projektem során a testvéri viszonyokat, kapcsolatokat térképezem fel. A tipikus esetektől
elkezdve, a szokatlan viszonyokon keresztül minél szélesebb rálátást próbálok nyerni ezeknek
a kapcsolatoknak a vizsgálatával. Az érdekel, hogy az ilyen belső hatalmi harcokban kinek, milyen
szerep jut, hogyan hatnak egymásra. Hogy ezekben a közös történetekben mégis meglássuk az egyéneket is.
Stephen Bank és Michael Kahn „Testvéri kötelék” című könyvében 8 féle testvéri kapcsolatot különböztet meg. Ezeket a jellegzetességeket vizsgálom portré alanyaimnál.

	STATEMENT 

My project was inspired by the temporary period of my life which has been gone for years now. There are several places I can call „my home”, still, the strongest connection is between me and my parental home. The only place I can rely on, no matter where I live in the world. I started to analyse my own life to find out what home means to me. I examined our everyday lives. I took photographs to capture and sometimes rearrange the regular and also the extraordinary life moments and to build up a system of attributes.

It was very difficult for me to keep distance from my family and from myself, and also to have a fresh pair of eyes to watch them, us. Still, that was my way to find those valuable everyday life moments, which helped me to create my picture of HOME. 
Though family is the oldest community, it is very important to respect each other's privacy. Therefore, individual actions and private territory were also emphasized besides community life. The shootings were mostly based on observing, but spontaneous moments were also big part of my working process. I was observing my family and also myself; how we are related and what kind of things characterize us. A really interesting „treat” came out: visitors can see all the intimate, honest moments, without playing roles or wearing masks. With this gesture, I opened the door for the curious eyes, and let them to take a look around my refuge. 
Everyday shootings, constant vigilance, focus and concentration became a daily routine for me.

Témafelvetésem alapja, egy évek óta tartó átmeneti állapot,
amelyet leginkább a kétlakisággal tudnék jellemezni. Egyszerre több helyet is
otthonomnak tudhatok, de ebben az ideiglenességben igazán szoros kötődés
egyedül a szülői házhoz fűz, amelyet joggal hívhatok otthonomnak, bárhol is
éljek a világban. Emiatt kezdtem el feltérképezni a saját életemet, arra a
legfőbb kérdésre keresve a választ, hogy mit jelent számomra az otthon. A
mindennapi életünket vizsgálva láttam hozzá fotografálni a különböző
szituációkat, megfigyelve és rögzítve azokat. Olykor, újrarendezve emeltem ki a
hétköznapi és nem hétköznapi élethelyzeteket, ezzel egy saját attribútum
rendszert is felépítve.


Nehéz
volt távolságot tartanom, és úgynevezett külső, vagy inkább friss szemmel
tekinteni magunkra, rájuk. Viszont, ez volt az út ahhoz, hogy rátaláljak az
olyan értékesnek számító hétköznapi pillanatokra, melyekből sikerült
kialakítanom, megmutatnom otthonképemet. Mindamellett, hogy a család a legősibb
közösség, nagyon fontos egymás privát szférájának tisztelete. Így a közösségi
élet mellett, az egyén is hangsúlyos szerepet kapott, az egyéni cselekvések, az
önálló territórium. A fotózások, legtöbbször megfigyeléseken alapulva jöttek

kialakulásában. Figyeltem a családomat, magamat, figyeltem, hogy hogyan
kapcsolódunk egymáshoz, mik azok a dolgok, amelyek jellemzőek ránk. Egy olyan
érdekes „vendégség” alakult ki, ahol nem csak az idegen tekinteteknek általában
megengedett látvány adatott, hanem az otthon nyújtotta biztonság őszinte
pillanatai, különböző szerepek megjátszása, a maszk nélküliség
felszabadultságával találkozunk.
A mindennapi fotózások, az állandó éberség, a figyelem koncentrálása napi
rutinná váltak számomra.

	STATEMENT

Photography is my private practice where I am the doctor, the patient and the cure.

In this project, I’m in therapy, far from home, in a blue country’s haven. I’m trying to process the doubts, the fears and the inhibitions of a lonely relationship through my feelings and memories. During the time of growing up, I put my faith into an incubator.This is my story. And I can afford the luxury of replaying the old memories once again, so I can go on with my life without burdens.

	LEÍRÁSA fotográfia az én magánrendelőm, ahol az orvos, a beteg és a gyógymód is én vagyok. 

És
most befizettem magam egy terápiás kezelésre, messze az otthonomtól, elzárva egy kék
ország menedékében.
Az érzéseimen és emlékeimen keresztül próbálom feldolgozni egy magányos kapcsolat kételyeit,
félelmeit, gátlásait. Ez egy gyászmenet, ahol a fényképezőgép gombjának lenyomása, mint fájdalomcsillapító enyhíti a kínzó érzések zaját. A kétségbeesésen, reményvesztettségen,
menekülésen túl, a felnőtté válás felismerésének útján, a hitem most inkubátorba teszem.
Ez az én történetem, ahol megengedem magamnak azt a luxust, hogy még egyszer, utoljára
lejátsszam, a már rongyosra pörgetett emlékeket, hogy utána kövek nélkül folytassam.

STATEMENT

What does the forest mean to you? How do you feel about it?


These were my questions to my class in the middle of the forest. I spent five wonderful days in Seitseminen National Park, Finland. It was a very intensive time for all of us. I asked everybody to write their feelings and thoughts about the forest into my notebook. I took portraits of my classmates based on their writings.

Ezeket a kérdéseket tettem fel az osztálytársaimnak egy erdő közepén. Ugyanis, 5 csodás napot tölthettünk el a Seitseminen Nemzeti Parkban, Finnországban. Ez egy nagyon intenzív időszak volt mindannyiunk számára. Arra kértem mindenkit, hogy íra le az erdővel kapcsolatos érzéseit és gondolatait, majd ezen irományok alapján készítettem el portréikat.

	STATEMENT

Anybody can survive, but everybody does it in a different way. 
The key to my survival is my family. My family is my home and my refuge. My family is the only thing I was ever certain of. I know that I can always rely on them. Unconditional love, trust, care and honesty make our relationship strong.Stability creates harmony and energy around me. Due to this atmosphere, I know there is always a way out of any trouble. I can survive. We will survive. Together.


	LEÍRÁS


Mindenki túlél, mindenki máshogy. A túlélés számomra a család. Ők az otthonom, ők a menedékem. A biztos pont az
életemben, akikre bármikor számíthatok. A feltétlen szeretet és bizalom, a
törődés és őszinteség az, ami képzi azt az erős várat, ami a biztonságot
nyújtja. Ez a stabilitás, olyan nyugalmat sugároz, ami körülölel és feltölt
energiával. Ez a légkör az, ahol a legnagyobb bajban is tudom, hogy van kiút.
Túl fogom élni, túl fogjuk élni. Közösen. Együtt.
